The Association for Mineral Exploration BC (AME BC) welcomes students to attend Mineral Exploration Roundup 2009, the world'd premiere technical mineral exploration conference. Come join us January 26 to January 29, 2009 to see the very best in industry leaders, explorationists, prospectors, investment advisors, suppliers and other students. Roundup 2009 is poised to be the best conference to date - what better time to come see the heart of this industry in one place?
Students are encouraged to take advantage of this excellent opportunity to hear our keynote speakers, attend top quality technical sessions and short courses, view the Core Shack displays and participate in the many networking events.
Students can take advantage of special student rates - all that's required is a valid student card!
Student volunteers are an integral part to the success of the annual Mineral Exploration Roundup conference. Each year student volunteers assist on-site with registration, setting up core shacks and poster sessions, providing assistance to delegates, working with children and a myriad of other duties to contribute to the success.
Best of all, all student volunteers will receive the equivalent of a delegate registration, which includes admission to the Trade Show and Technical Sessions, a delegate bag, a complementary beverage at the Ice Breaker Reception and a complimentary Beer & Sandwich lunch!

The Student Industry Networking Event is back for Mineral Exploration Roundup 2009. This one of a kind event provides an opportunity for students and industry representatives to network and discuss career opportunities and options within the mineral exploration sector, as well as other related industries. What a great opportunity to get the career advice you may need!
This event is NOT a job fair, so don't bring a resume! (However we do recommend you bring a business card that provides a bit of information about your education, experience and your contact details).
Questions? Contact SINE Organizer Kendra Johnston, Silverquest Resources, at 604-687-3959.
Be sure to check out the evening events happening throughout the conference - there's something every night! These are great opportunities to have some 'down time' with major industry members. Each night focuses a different regions' flavor.

The weekend prior to Mineral Exploration Roundup 2009 holds the Short Courses. Whilst you may enjoy your weekends off school, these courses are an excellent opportunity to learn from the very best in the mineral exploration industry.
Monday to Thursday holds the Trade Show. Over 200 companies exhibit during Mineral Exploration Roundup from a variety of the industry's sectors. The Trade Show provides an excellent opportunity to find out more about the companies in the industry and a great chance to talk to their representatives. Every day is different so check back often!
The Technical Sessions this year promise to be excellent. Each day of the conference has a different theme, and the talks match that theme. Some of the very best of the Mineral Exploration community will be speaking this year, so be sure to check them out. For more information on these sessions, please click here.
The Mineral Exploration Roundup Poster Session highlights the activity and results of public geoscience and geoscience research activities, with a particular focus on British Columbia and the Cordillera.
An important component of the poster session is the student participation and presentation of their geoscience studies. This information continues to be an interesting source of new ideas, economic models and information of use to ongoing exploration programs. Cash prizes for the three best student posters and one ticket per winning poster to the AME BC Awards Dinner, where the names and titles of the three best posters will be announced.
